BuyCatering Pancake Recipe
Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday – the first day of the christian season of fasting and prayer commonly known as Lent.
Sugar, Fat and Eggs are all not allowed to be consumed during Lent and this is why it is tradition to eat them, in the form of a pancake on Shrove Tuesday.
Pancake Day is only one week away! And here at BuyCatering, we like to eat pancakes all year around as they can adapt easily to any season. Here is what we consider, to be the perfect recipe for your pancakes this year.
Ingredients:
110g Flour,
2 Eggs,
200ml Milk
75ml Water
50g Butter
Directions:
Sift the flour into the mixing bowl
Crack the eggs into the bowl be careful not to get any shell in the flour
Whisk the eggs into the flour
add the water and milk slowly and beat until smooth.
Let the batter stand for five minutes
Put the butter into a saucepan and heat until bubbling
When hot, pour the butter into the batter and whisk again
Using a ladle pour enough batter into a hot, well greased saucepan leave for a few minutes until it loosely slides around the saucepan.
Flip the pancake over to cook the other side.
When the pancake is cooked to your preference, slide from the pan onto a plate.
