Today's the big day!

Preparing for the Olympic Games 

On Friday the 27th July, 9pm we see the opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games. 

The Opening Ceremonies will be live and millions will be watching, they’ll continue for a couple of weeks. That’s plenty of time to plan an Olympics-watching party. It’s cause for a celebration. Here are some ideas to help it go with a bang.

Get into the spirit - Things you can do get involved. 

 

- Create your own Olympic games 

As much as we love watching the games why not create your own in your back garden. To make sure everyone gets to compete, plan a selection of events that cater to all ages. Everyone likes to be a winner, be sure to have enough prizes on hand including gold, silver and bronze medals so that everyone takes home an Olympic prize. 

 

- Serve Party Food 

Plan to serve finger foods from several different countries represented in the Olympics. 

 

- Be an Olympic Judge

Your Olympic party will include some time spent in front of the big screen, watching the games. Check for scheduled events and print judging forms so guests can get involved and score the athletes themselves.
